Scratch programming language, made popular by hour of code, is a visual based programming language that makes it easy for students to understand  statements and compartmentalized statement blocks (e.g. if-then-else, loops, modules).  Despite its simplicity, students begin to learn programming and how to effectively create sprites (objects) that interact with one-another.
